Please contact your Help Desk Agent before using this utility.  Download the utility below and unzip it to run. 


The Fasoo Log Collector provides more detailed operations logs of the Fasoo client and how it interacts with applications and documents.  The utility runs as an application on a Microsoft Windows machine and some environments may require running this utility as an administrator.  Fasoo Help Desk personnel or engineers will guide usage to help determine and resolve potential conflicts or problems using encrypted and plain documents on a Windows PC.  

  • Log into the Microsoft Windows PC with authorized user credentials.
  • Unzip the utility and copy it to the desktop of the computer.
  • Run FasooLogCollector.exe.  It does not install anything, it just runs as an application.
  • Turn the appropriate product from OFF to ON to collect logs as shown in the image below.  Only turn ON the products specified by your Help Desk Agent.
    • Doc Secure - Fasoo Enterprise DRM (FED)
    • Print Secure - Fasoo Smart Print (FSP)
    • Web Secure - Fasoo Secure Web (FSW)
    • Screen Secure - Fasoo Smart Screen (FSS)
    • Wrapsody - Wrapsody
    • FDR - Fasoo Data Radar

   

  • Click Start Collecting to start collecting extended log information.
  • Click OK to confirm the process is starting.
  • Exit the utility by clicking X in the upper right corner.


  • Replicate the issue or issues affecting the computer.  For example, open Microsoft Word, open or generate a new file, and execute the steps that caused the problem.  Do not start the utility after you open the application that caused the problem.
  • Run FasooLogCollector.exe again once you replicate the issue or issues.

  • Click Export to Zip File.  Gathering and exporting all the required information may take a few moments.
  • Click OK to confirm logs are collected and zipped.
  • Click OK to confirm the utility stopped collecting logs.
  • The utility opens Windows Explorer to the zip file with the log information.
  • Upload the zipped logs to http://helpdesk.fasoo.com or send them to the Fasoo Help Desk for analysis.
